5:00pm to 8:00pm
—Drop in
Drop in from 5:30pm – 7:30pm for a fun program with wilderness survival skills instructor, “PrimiTim”. Our senses are what keep us connected and aware of what’s around us. Nature is full of interesting plants, fungi, and animals that are interesting to observe...if we know how to find them! This program will reconnect you with the woods and help you see, hear, smell, touch, and enjoy nature on a more intimate level. Get ready for fun games!
Cost:
Free with pre-registration

Come join in all the fun and explore the accessible Discovery Museum and Discovery Woods during this special evening event just for families with members on the autism spectrum. Your family can play, explore, experiment, and imagine together, while we are closed to the general public and headcount is limited.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Resources available to prepare for your visit include Story Guides (social stories) to the Museum and Discovery Woods, as well a Sensory Guide. These are available both online and at our Admissions Desk. You might also visit the Exhibits section of our website, and review our Tips for Visiting. Please note that Discovery Woods is open year-round, but closes at dusk and will not be open for evening events during the winter months.

Dinner, including a gluten-free option, is provided courtesy of Not Your Average Joe's, Acton. Thank you!
