Our philosophy starts with the simple belief that kids are capable of incredible things. Our job is to nurture that ability; our goal is to support kids' healthy development. Play is how kids learn--here, it is in both a STEM-rich environment and inviting outdoor experience.

A pioneer in the use of actuarial science in the credit card industry, George Overholser will talk about unexpected ways that data is helping us revolutionize the social sector by inspiring an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving, the launch of Pay for Success, and the results of his work on performance-based projects in early childhood education.
George introduced the concepts of Pay for Success and Social Innovation Financing at New Profit’s Gathering of Leaders in 2007 and has been a longtime advocate for smarter social investing. He is a frequent speaker and writer on the topic of innovation in nonprofit sector finance, having been covered in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Business Week and New York Times. He graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Physics and a MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. He serves on the boards of Vistaprint, Ltd. (NASDAQ) and Tickets for Charity.
For the past ten years, George Overholser has committed himself to the social sector. Since 2010 he has been an Entrepreneur in Residence at New Profit Inc., and in that capacity, co-founded Third Sector Capital Partners. Previously, he founded NFF Capital Partners, a division housed within Nonprofit Finance Fund that has so far helped 16 high-performing nonprofits to secure over $300 million of philanthropic growth capital. The NFF Capital Partners portfolio has grown its programmatic output five-fold since the investments were made, while also markedly improving metrics of financial sustainability. In 1999, George formed North Hill Ventures, a Boston-based venture capital firm that focuses on early-stage financial and marketing technology firms.
He was a member of Capital One’s founding management team, where he headed up strategy and oversaw the launch of 20 new businesses. George commenced his career as a strategy consultant at Strategic Planning Associates, serving a wide range of Fortune 500 clients.
