Join us for an exciting new program series that honors the contributions of Black women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. In this program, meet Ellice Patterson and learn about her ecology work, both on land and at sea. From 1:00pm to 1:30pm, hear Ellice share her personal journey as a young Black woman in science. Then, try some hands-on activities inspired by different areas of Ellice’s work studying both spiders and their webs, and the effects of nutrient run-off on ecosystems.

This program series was created in combination with Ellice Patterson, Biologist and Founder/Artistic and Executive Director of Abilities Dance Boston, and a Discovery Museum Science & Engineering Communication Fellow.
