Evening for Families with Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or KODA Children
Join us for this special free evening for children and adults who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Enjoy a fun, friendly experience in our accessible and universally designed Discovery Museum and Discovery Woods while exploring interactive exhibits and participating in hands-on activities.
The Museum will be closed to the general public for this event. ASL Interpreters will be available. Discovery Woods is closed for evening events in winter. Dinner, including a gluten-free option, will be provided.
Special program: Let's Dance! 5:30pm - 6:00pm What is salsa? Is it a food or a dance? What about merengue? Come learn how to jump and move to fun beats as Kerry Thompson - a DeafBlind dancer and executive director of Silent Rhythms - teaches how to dance.
