Grandparent Ambassador Volunteers
Are you a grandparent looking for an opportunity to give back to your local community?
The Grandparent Ambassador program at Discovery Museum supports children and adult visitors through conversation and play. Together with Museum staff, Grandparent Ambassadors help create a sense of community for all visitors, with a special emphasis on caregivers. Grandparent Ambassadors spend time engaging with visitors in our Brain Building Together exhibit, designed for children ages 0 – 3 years of age and their adults, and occasionally in the Admissions area, supporting visitors upon arrival.
Grandparent Ambassadors should expect to volunteer at least 2 times per month. An average volunteer shift is 1.5 – 2 hours in the morning, and scheduling is flexible.
A successful CORI check will be required at the time of offer.
