Birthday Parties Return To Discovery Museum
Acton, MA – Discovery Museum announced that after a four-year hiatus it is now taking reservations for birthday parties hosted in the Museum and in its newly expanded and renovated Community Building. Parties can begin on Saturday, October 12, 2024 and can be scheduled up to six months in advance.
Parties can include up to 45 people, with a maximum of 26 children. The fee includes exclusive use of the newly renovated Community Building for 45 minutes of private party time, plus one hour of play and learning in the Museum. The Community Building is fully accessible, with accessible restrooms, as is the entire campus.
Parties also include a Sustainable Party option with reusable plates, cups, and utensils as well as compostable napkins and placemats provided.
“Discovery Museum is a very special place for a child to have a memorable celebration with friends and family, and we are very happy to be able to offer birthday parties again after a long hiatus,” said CEO Marie Beam. “We are particularly pleased that we can now accommodate more party guests than we could in the past, and we can offer a sustainable option where parents can plan to use our reusable tableware and compostable paper goods—taking those items off their To Do list and supporting our environment at the same time. And all parties are powered by clean energy from our solar array, further making them environmentally friendly.”
Parties are scheduled while the Museum is open to the public; weekend and weekday options are available. Prices start at $570 for weekday parties, $760 for weekend parties with a member discount. Additional flexible options for renting meeting rooms, parts of the building, or both the indoor and outdoor spaces for private events when the Museum is closed are also available.
