"Mask On, Play On" at Discovery Museum
ACTON, MA – Discovery Museum will host “Mask On, Play On,” a free evening event for visitors who are more comfortable in a mask-wearing environment, on Saturday, November 15th, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Visitors can enjoy a fun, friendly experience in an accessible and universally designed children’s museum while exploring interactive exhibits and participating in hands-on activities. Any family or group who can benefit from a limited capacity, mask-required visit is welcome at this event; a medical diagnosis is not required.
All staff will be wearing masks and all visitors ages 2 and older will be required to wear a mask while inside. Visitors will have the option to remove their masks while outdoors. All outdoor play areas including the Treehouse, Discovery Woods, lawn and patio will be open to visitors.
Extra accommodations, including a designated Take-A-Break Space, will be available. Parking is free. Dinner, including a gluten-free option, will be provided.

Registration and admission will be capped to ensure a reduced number of visitors in the Museum. This event will be held again on Saturday, April 16, 2026; advance registration will open up in January.
