Discover why they find STEM cool and exciting while learning about their research and interests.

Discovery Museum and Raytheon Celebrate Military Appreciation Program 10th Anniversary

ACTON, MA – Discovery Museum and Raytheon are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the museum’s Military Appreciation Program, which provides free museum admission for active duty military members and their families, and free school Field Trips to fourth and fifth grade classes from Hanscom Air Force Base. Raytheon has partnered with the Museum to underwrite the program since it began in 2010.

Are you curious about what’s inside telephones, computers, radios and more? Grab a screwdriver and discover resistors, capacitors, and circuit boards as you uncover the inner workings of everyday electronics.

LEGO® ZONE

You bring your imagination and we’ll supply the LEGOs. Try your hand at some fun LEGO challenges and games, or just dig-in to our huge collection of LEGO bricks and build to your heart’s content. How do you LEGO?

Celebrate National Take A Hike Day: Walking Sticks

Hop out onto the Great Hill conservation land adjacent to Discovery Woods to find the perfect walking stick, then bring it back to Discovery Woods and decorate it. We’ll provide the art supplies, you bring your imagination! Once you’ve created the perfect walking stick, take it on a test drive on the conservation land or through Fairyborough. Please note that these trails are not ADA or stroller accessible; please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. This program is weather and conditions dependent.
